Frequently Asked Questions

Check-in without a reception desk, parking, the shared bathroom, breakfast, children and house rules — answered straight.

Arrival and departure

What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in runs from 15:00 until midnight, and check-out is by 11:00. Because entry is self-service, arriving at 23:00 is no trouble and doesn't need special arrangements — nobody is sitting up waiting for you.
Is there a reception? How do I get in?
There's no front desk: check-in happens online and you let yourself in with codes. On the day you arrive you'll get the pre-check-in form; as soon as it's filled in, we send the access instructions and the door codes for the building and your room. After that you come in whenever suits you from 15:00, with nobody to wait for. If anything doesn't work, the phone and WhatsApp are answered.
Where do I park?
On the street, free, no reservation needed. This is a residential hillside, which is exactly why there is space — you don't even need to tell us you're driving.

The house

Do you serve breakfast?
No. There is no breakfast service, and we'd rather say so before you book than when you arrive. What you get instead is the full shared kitchen — coffee machine, kettle, toaster, oven, stovetop, microwave and a big table — plus a minimarket on site for the bread and the rest. There's a kettle with tea and coffee in your room too.
Which rooms have a private bathroom?
Sé Catedral (the Deluxe Double with Sea View) and Arco da Vila (the Deluxe Double) have a private bathroom inside the room. Ilha do Farol (the Standard Double) and Ria Formosa (the Double/Twin) share one bathroom with a bathtub between them. It says so on each room card, at the point of choosing — it is not small print.
Can I book the whole house, just for my group?
Yes. The house is the entire top floor of the building, and booking all four rooms makes everything exclusively yours — kitchen, lounge, terrace and every bathroom. It sleeps up to eight adults, in four double rooms. The price is the sum of the four rooms, with no premium. Until the combined booking is available online, send us your dates on WhatsApp or through the contact form and we'll confirm availability.
Can we come with children?
Yes. A cot is free for children up to 3 and is requested when you book. There are no extra beds, so each room takes two adults at most. There is a high chair in the kitchen.
What languages do you speak?
Portuguese, English and Spanish — by message, by phone and on WhatsApp.
Is the house legally registered?
Yes: registered local accommodation, RNAL number 137878/AL. The number is in the footer of every page and can be checked against the Portuguese national tourism register.

House rules

Do you accept pets?
No. Pets are not accepted.
Is smoking allowed?
No. The house is entirely non-smoking, rooms and shared spaces alike.
Can we hold a party or a stag/hen do?
No. Parties and events are not allowed, stag and hen do included. This is four rooms in a shared house, and the quiet is part of what is on offer.
Are there quiet hours?
Yes, from 22:00 to 08:00. The terrace stays open — what we ask is that the conversation doesn’t travel down through the building.
Is there a deposit or damage policy?
There is a €200 damage policy. It isn't charged on arrival or routinely held on your card: it applies only if something is damaged during the stay.
